Well in one state no one has to make sure your lug nuts are tight.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/does-tire-rotation-include-tightening-lug-nuts-michigan-court-thinks-about-it-for-awhile-concludes-no/ar-AAJcuaB?ocid=ientp

It is a ruling that not only defies common sense but has potentially broad ramifications for Michigan car owners who may find it much harder to sue mechanics for doing unspeakably dumb things, such as not making sure the damn tires stay on the car,

The judge in the case decided the tire rotation has nothing to do with the nuts being put on tight.    I kid you not.   I believe we still care in this state.

I spent hours working on a return and lost every bit of it.

Had pages of work to punch into the computer to return thousands of dollars of parts.   put in a whole week getting ready.   In the middle of it after being two hours in.....

DAM CHRYSLER!

Their side caused an error....I lost it all!

Nitto Ridge Grabbers are just OMG great on a Ram 2500!

They made the truck stand up hard to the world!    I would say if you have the time and cash....Make it so.

Be afraid if you see this 5.3 under the hood!

The parts were hard to get due to the GM strike,   the engine was hard to work on,   and our tech is glad to get away from it alive.    It was as they say a BIG B!

Okay I bite...what is it?

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/bloodhound-shows-the-car-that-will-attempt-1000-mph/ar-AAJ7X4c?ocid=ientp

The Bloodhound Land Speed record project has been around under various names for more than 10 years now. It was announced in 2008, and the intention then is the same as it is today: go 1,000 mph on land, in a car. Over the last decade the Bloodhound team has been working toward that singular objective, and today they revealed the car that will undergo testing at the Hakskeenpan desert racetrack in Northern Cape, South Africa.

Remember that old SIFI movie Buck-A-Something?     Looks like it.

We got ready to work on a head job and realized we knew nothing .....

We were on a 5.3 Chevy motor....But it might as well be the alien motor above.   We had to call all over for specs....torqs...you name it.   It should run again.   No it will.

I guess I do see others who served in the military....

http://www.hyperactivz.com/signs-you-are-military/?utm_campaign=Military%20Signs%20V800.2%20%2ASafe%2A%20LiEn%20TL%20-%20Desktop%20USA&utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=msn-ie11-us&utm_term=Obvious+Signs+You%E2%80%99ve+Served+In+The+US+Military&utm_content=https%3A%2F%2Fprod-pubplus-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com%2F0a974bb6-0064-447a-a6f3-989227541457.jpg

Obvious Signs You’ve Served In The US Military

Signs you served?    Heck I always notice the sirs,   polite,   and the neat.    People who served tend to develop things they never give up.    They don't become a hippy.

Now you can convert an old car to electric....

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/finally-an-electric-crate-motor-you-can-drop-into-your-old-car/ar-AAIZE5P?ocid=ientp

The idea of converting classic cars to EVs has been around a while, and a number of companies, including some majorautomakers, have been retrofitting old, classic cars with all-new EV drivetrains. Individual tinkerers have been doing this as well, but it’s not as easy as you’d hope. Dealing with salvaged EV drivetrains is difficult, with complex control and cooling systems. Now it finally looks like there’s going to be an easier way, as Swindon Powertrain is planning on introducing an all-in-one compact EV crate motor next year.

Would you want to change an old Chevy into an electric car?

People are faking high powered sports cars for what they call fun.

Most who do it don't try to sell a 40k car for a 200k.    Some do.    Read the link.   Kind of interesting.

Doing the buy sell return....

Yup it involves counting parts.   Making sure they are in good shape.   Yup it is a dang mess.

The Dodge Viper may never come back....

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/the-rise-and-fall-of-the-dodge-viper-us-edition/ss-AAIAsAf?ocid=ientp

Slide 1 of 24: The Chrysler-owned carmaker didn’t create the Viper by benchmarking the attainable Chevrolet Corvette, copying the ergonomic Acura NSX or Americanizing one of Ferrari’s designs.Instead, the firm’s home-brewed supercar brought together Carroll Shelby’s racing expertise, Tom Gale’s pen strokes, Ram truck genes and Lamborghini’s engineering wizardry. The end result was a raw, all-American high-performance dragster that showed no mercy for those who couldn’t handle it.Join us for a look at how it was born and why it died.

It's a dead horse.    Read the link to see why....
There was no shortage of high-horsepower, high-dollar supercars in the early 1990s and Dodge ignored them all....

But there was nothing and still isn't much like a Dodge Viper.    Shame it is a dead line.

Someone might make a Fiber Body Chevy Classic.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/sema/ringbrothers-teases-classic-chevy-camaro-wearing-carbon-fiber-for-sema/ar-AAIAmMJ?ocid=ientp

Ringbrothers makes some of the most impressive muscle car restomods around, and the company is now teasing a modified first-gen Camaro to debut at the 2019 SEMA Show. A sketch of the rear is the only available image at this time, but it offers some tantalizing details.

Will they make one for you?    maybe if you have some real big cash?

Yes that is sort of a Jeep....

I went out one day years ago onto the lot to look at a Jeep (cust said he had a Jeep).    I was looking .   Is it behind the road buggy?    No that's it!   What?   Yes that is a 1999 Grand Cherokee.   Okay?   So we found the vin he had,   looked up a motor part,   and I had it.   He bought it,   showed me it fit,   and drove off.   Weird and still a good time had by all.

Don't even think it's good to mix antifreeze...

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/ownership/the-difference-between-green-and-orange-antifreeze/ar-AAIPs42?ocid=ientp

Green coolant is not so common any longer... But if you see it...Orange does not mix with it.   It will ruin the motor.    Make sure you read up big time on what your motor uses and don't step away from the correct answers.

It's interesting calling the leather seat companies....

I called on a 2500 HD truck.    Min....$1700.00.....Would I buy it?    Maybe?

Just get it fixed!

The question in the link is what you do if your car shakes when brakes are hit...???

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/ownership/what-to-do-if-your-car-shakes-when-braking/ar-AAILOYT?ocid=ientp

One possible cause of shaking when you apply the brakes, especially at high speeds on the highway or when going downhill, is your tires. This is the first thing you should investigate if you experience shaking while braking. Your wheels may be out of alignment, or you may have a bad tire that is unbalanced.

Don't be the person who runs into the back of a school bus because your car doesn't stop...

The 1968 Bullitt is still up for grabs.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/classic-cars/bullitt-bonanza-1968-2019-bullitt-mustangs-up-for-grabs/ar-AAIM9bG?ocid=ientp

OG vs. New School: 1968, 2019 Bullitt Mustangs Up For Grabs

Looking just like the famous movie car, the  '68 Mustang is a 2+2 GT Fastback with American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and it's been stripped of all the identifying Mustang badges. Unlike the Bullitt hero car, though, this Mustang is powered by a 351W V8 (instead of the GT's 390 CID V8), but it does have some upgrades like a serpentine belt system and aluminum heads. While McQueen's Mustang had a four-speed manual, this car lets the driver shift through a five-speed Tremec manual transmission with an aluminum driveshaft....

It's not the movie car....But it is the same style car.

Airless tires?

I had a set on my bike as a kid.    Never had to worry about glass or nails.    But they did ride hard.    Any bump....you felt it.

I wonder if these are the same?

See that's what you do when you have the time and the money.

You open up a can of ….You know!

I enjoy reading and following your moab rebuild adventures. I’ll cut right to the point - I have a unicorn that I don’t have the time or space to fix up, and I haven’t gotten rid of because it’s just too damned cool. You may have guessed it - I have a 1994 ZJ with a factory AX-15 manual transmission. I friggin’ love this Jeep.

jaw dropped upon reading that, and enormous volumes of saliva began flooding out onto my keyboard. I’d been dreaming about owning an ultra-rare (one of probably just a few hundred ever made in model years ’93 and ’94 only), manual “ZJ” Grand Cherokee since I was just a kid living in Leavenworth, Kansas, driving my family’s 1998 ZJ and listening to its sad Chrysler-built 42RE automatic struggle to shift itself.

The future in air wars....

50 Incredible Military Aircraft Concepts

Get ready world.    We  have some real fun in some hanger.

It amazes me that old planes just sit in yards and rot away.

50 Abandoned Aircraft That Haven't Been Touched In Years

You would think it would be just like old cars.   Someone would want to fly them again.    Heck if I knew how to fly that plane above and could....Yes I would own it some how.    Heck it would be fun just to have it,   restore it,   and start it up once in awhile in the drive.    But most of them never leave massive parking lots.    They just die slowly.   What a shame.

Not sure this is real....

But it would be dam cool to find it...

I guess at one point in the 50's the Jeeps came back from the war in boxes and were sold a public auction for around $50 or so.    Which today would equal out to around $250 or so.    What a real deal!

Now Ford might get into the 700hp car.

Hot Rods from the factory....I'm all in for that fun.

Someone had the car sale on the TV from Vegas....

I saw three very nice cars go for WAY under the running price.      Like no limits on the bids kind of things.    I wanted to get an account.

Man I miss my Jeep....

Mine was a bit rougher than the one above.    But drove great.    Now it is off to a sale to end up being chopped up for parts.    It had fairly new tires,   a new battery,   and a good sound system.      From what I heard it could end out on a ship to Africa.    Many of the countries over there are buying wrecks.

The day when you can just read a paper and sip coffee on the way to work.

I can't wait.    I will take a nice little nap.

But unless you live in a box, this will in no way resemble a home. The large screen in the center is for entertainment only, as this unconventional van lacks an actual driver's seat.

Yes...because it will drive for you.

Should be interesting on the next COPS.....

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/how-grappler-aims-to-end-police-chases-safely-w-video/ar-AAIgv7h?ocid=ientp

Are you easily mesmerized by reruns of World's Scariest Police Chases or compelled to click on YouTube pursuit videos? One such all-night binge session, ending with a video of a serious T-bone crash with a civilian, left Leonard Stock unable to sleep. Restless, he germinated the idea for a tool to help law enforcement officers end such chases more safely....

His idea was a vehicular lasso to grab a perp's vehicle by the tire. A roofing contractor by trade, Stock was naturally handy and a proficient welder, so he began prototyping the concept on his own vehicle. He quickly confirmed his theory that a moving vehicle's spinning tire would indeed pull a loop of tow-strap material around itself if said strap could be forced into firm contact with it.

When a Chevy was a Chevy.

An incredible 1,000 vehicles are lined up for sale, ranging from classic pickups and muscle cars, through to the latest exotic performance machinery....

Better go buy one.

Future? Looks like the Flintstone's camper.

German motorhome manufacturer Hymer introduced a concept named Galileo that argues autonomous technology will make motels obsolete in a distant future. The boxy, glass-walled design study drives itself so its occupants can enjoy the view without needing to keep an eye on the road ahead, and get a full night's sleep without stopping when they're ready to call it a day.

Tron....!!!!

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/motorcycles/this-electric-concept-draws-inspiration-from-vacuums-and-fans/ar-AAIbmGV?ocid=ientp

Electric motorcycles present a unique opportunity for today’s designers. Untethered from the restrictions of conventional motorcycle requirements, designers can rearrange configurations to suit their unique visions. Saharudin Busri, a Malaysian industrial designer, took full advantage of this creative freedom when he drafted an electric concept based on Dyson’s line of products.
In 2009, James Dyson introduced the bladeless electric fan to the market. The Dyson Air Multiplier utilized “airflow engineering” instead of fan blades to “multiply” air. Sought after for its minimalist design, the Air Multiplier presented an alternative to traditional fans. Now, the design offers inspiration for a new alternative to traditional modes of transport.

I found a Nova just like this once.

It had truck tires on it,    was out in a mud filled field,   and was stuck to the floor in water.    I wanted it bad.    Offered fair money.    They wouldn't sell it.    Hell this one could be the same car.
