I got a OMG you are kidding in the box....

Image result for what's in the box gif

Got a piece of glass a few weeks ago.    Box looked great.   I opened it with the driver.   Now I noted to him the glass was just riding free.    But after pulling it out we noticed nothing.    Well as the glass guys started looking....Big piece of tape covered a big ding.    Like it almost was set up that way.    I almost cried.   Time we wasted moving this thing around....darn it!   Did a claim on it.    Hope it floats.

Okay we made it to the goal by a inch.

If it was horse racing,   we would need a super photo finish.    But we should look good on Hump-day.

The boss put out a goal for the month.    Right now it is about $500 away.... That close but no joy yet.       I have one more day.     Just one.

OMG some of this stuff is like a pit of danger!

I HAVE HAD NOTHING GOOD HAPPEN RELATED TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE GRILL ….THING.    I TRIED.   I CRIED.    I MIGHT STILL MAKE IT TO THE END ALIVE?    We will see in the end.

First I got what should  have been the same as on the truck.    Well it wasn't.    The picture on EBAY was wrong.    Then I got another one after market.   OMG no way it works!   Now we plan on painting what we have.    God I hope that works.

Yes you have it too.    The second grill is not returnable.   So we have to fix a lot unit up and hope to gain there too.    It's been rough.

Friday!

Yes it's a happy day here.    We did fair all week.    The shop is full.   We just need to buckle down for this day and get the work done.    Plus we got a pay check.

32 thousand miles and the clutch is gone?

Guy states he was towing a boat,   clutch started slipping,   and now he thinks it is burnt.    I really think this could have been some kind of defect.    Customer seems to know how to drive a standard.   Towing had nothing to do with it....I think?

I am trying to get a feel for the new trucks.

I went outside and looked them over.    The styles.   The colors.   Drove one.     When I no longer give a darn about how much one costs....I am going for it.

Trying to tow the mark this month.

Just like the guy above,  I try to make the whole thing pay off.   He tries to make us believe people walk around with suitcase nukes and I try to sell...sell....sell!     It isn't easy for him or me.

Can Tesla's car take a Wildcat?

Ten Cars that can clock a Ferrari.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/10-cars-that-were-built-to-beat-ferrari/ss-BBVUeKr?ocid=ientp

Slide 19 of 21: The Lagonda DP115 ran at Le Mans in 1954 as part of a particularly disastrous works entry that left team manger John Wyer a nervous wreck.

He was not a fan of the Lagonda project in any case and was doubtless relieved to retire it after a spin crumpled the shapely Frank Feeley-designed bodywork: the real reason was probably down to rapidly disappearing oil pressure.

Still, a timed 172mph down the Mulsanne straight showed the potential and an improved car was fielded in 1955. DP116 had disc brakes all round and a stiffer body, but retired on lap 93, causing Brown to cut his losses and park his dreams of a British Ferrari-beating V12.

Very interesting read.....

What do you give away to new accounts?

Some suggested the above.   I kind of said...?    Not sure that's what some are into.    I myself would love some hockey tickets.   But that might be a bit much.

Death Wobble!

Image result for death wobble

Ever drive a Jeep or any other big steering truck and have it do the wobble of death?    It can be a near break down deal.     All of a sudden your baby is driving you off the road.   Not good.

Image result for wrangler liftkit

One way is to replace the aftermarket lift kit someone half put in with a new crat kit from Jeep.      It more than solves the problem.
Image result for wrangler front steering dampner

The other way is to at least replace the steering damp with a heavy duty one.

Jeep sells one (p5155264) and it works.     We fixed up a 2013 this mourning.

Plus we upgraded the old short sway links with longer ones.     It brought all the steering right into a tight great feeling set up.

Now we have one happy Jeep owner back on the trails!

I always wanted one too.    After watching the Smoky movies.
I did buy a Camaro once.   OMG what a bad choice that was in life.    We miss Burt and his wife.

Been Monday all day long.

Sometimes I wonder if living in a tent down South some place (DOWN BY THE RIVER) wouldn't be easier than selling parts.    But I do enjoy my TV.

Dude where are you?

Image result for where are you?

People sometimes just don't show when they say they will.   Almost every Saturday someone just doesn't come in for their work slot we left open for them.    It really kills the day.

EBAY OMG what a hard way to make a living.

Image result for ebay sales

It is almost that easy.    Okay after you get everything set up,   posted,    priced,    and wow you have to watch it like a hawk.   After that it's one ,  two,  and three....

I sold a bunch of old dusty stuff.

I don't promote aftermarket Jeep Parts....But....

Dude brought his own in to be installed.    I helped get the job done.    They really looked nice.   Little light looking.   But kind of cool.

Image result for jeep wrangler tube steps

Installed really easy.    Few bolts.    Just like the Jeep ones....Holes are drilled and tapped already under the body.

That's one TOUGH BIKE!

What a shame no one can live without the bad people in this world around.

a close up of a suitcase: Modern Car remote control key

Now you have to hide the fact you are using your fob to get in and out of your car.    Store it in a metal box at home when not in use.    All that.    To bad your car couldn't be fixed with nerve gas to release when stolen.   Something like that.

Had a customer with big money tastes in a custom grill.

The inexpensive way to settle the deal was to go to EBAY and get what was on the truck.    $1000.00 later we are now awaiting a new unit.     But go figure the fact this unit is less money than putting the OEM one back on.    It's cool too.    It lights up at night.

2019 Easter Wrangler Run!

http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/2019-easter-jeep-safari-concepts-bring-companys-truck-heritage-to-moab/ar-BBVIgTs?ocid=ientp

a truck driving down a dirt road: Easter Jeep Safari 2019 Five Quarters Concept Front Quarter 01

That new baby Jeep made.....Amazing!

Some are based on the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, but one of our favorites is actually a resto-mod of a 1968 M-715 “Five-Quarter” military truck. Starting from that 1 1/4–ton truck’s bones, Jeep ditched the front sheetmetal and replaced it with a full carbon-fiber front end, featuring styling that cleverly apes the old truck’s. The all-new cargo box is bobbed to 6 feet, furnished with a wood floor, and perforated with water jet–cut panels, including a flow-through tailgate with a vintage Jeep logo. This feature is obviously a nod to style rather than practicality, but we’ll forgive it because it looks so good.

I can't wait to we have one show up on the lot.   Heard we ordered two.

Jeep stated Hellcat motor will drop in a Wrangler?

a close up of an engine: post.metadata.leadImageDesc

Like a glove they state!       Autoblog

Hellcat motor 'fits like a glove' in the Wrangler and Gladiator, says Jeep !

"There's no air space around the engine [...] so you have no crush space, you have nothing that can be used to absorb energy in a crash. It's not a problem to put it in — other than emissions and fuel economy — except it would never pass any crash tests, and that's a problem," as Kuniskis told Drive.

Might have to make the front ends bigger.....????

Crazy cold and snow.

IT JUST ISN'T GETTING WARM.

Bed Liners...what are they good for?

Image result for beliners

I love selling them,   they do a great job keeping your truck new,   and they look good.     But putting them upstairs (all nine of them) is a chore.    I put six into trucks (outside in the cold).      That was plenty on a cold wind filled day!    I stopped.   Dug in.    Got them put away.    If you have a brand new 19 Ram.....come see me.    I have them.   I will put it in for you.    Yes on a warmer day.

O darn....not the right welder!

We need an Argon Welder to do a recall on some trucks.    We sent a runner.   It looked good at first.   O darn it's a 220 amp unit!    Get it back in the van.    Need another.   We don't have a 220 line any longer in the shop.    Well second time is always the charm.

We came into the now with two Go-Jacks.

These babies save some hard work when a dead horse car has to be moved in the shop.     Throw under the tires.    Slide the car around like it is a chair on wheels.    Amazing times we live in.
