I looked through every page on Star Parts I could think of.     Put the words in search.    Called Chrysler.    Just about screamed!!!!   O and Chrysler wouldn't touch it without a case number.  Yes it's their rules.    But it just doesn't work when you need an answer today.    So luck has it...

One other guy at another shop remembered it well.     It was listed as a body sensor....

????   Hey we had one....it's on.

Remember Summer days at the track in the 70's?

Historical Photos That Will Take You Back In Time

As a kid I have many fond thoughts about the local dirt tracks.    Summer nights watching the cars,   the people,   and the sounds/smells.   Dreaming I was old enough to drive a car,  maybe win,    and kiss the flag lady.    A soda,  hotdogs,  and great times long gone.

So, is this the oft-rumored Jeep Gladiator V8? Maybe! All that black plastic is obviously trying to disguise something around the engine compartment, as well as what appears to be a bulge in the hood. There's no opening in that camo, though, so we're probably not looking at a new Gladiator Shaker option. Damn, they should absolutely do that.

Slide 1 of 15: Americans don't want to haggle over car prices. According to Autolist, 48% of shoppers say negotiating a price while buying is the worst part of going to the car dealer, and 42% fear getting ripped off. This could help explain why Costco's Auto Program, which arranges no-haggle car-buying discounts for members, is growing in popularity. But is it a good deal, and how does it work? Read on to discover whether Costco is the best place to buy your next set of wheels.

a car parked in a parking lot: When I walk up on something like this 1960 Impala, I say to myself, “Wouldn’t it be great if it was a 348 car with a four-speed?” Then I gather clues until the truth is revealed. More often than not, they turn out to be six bangers or two-barrel small-blocks with Powerglides. But you gotta keep hunting and don’t get jaded or you miss the good ones. That’s what happened here.

I grew up around a bone yard for cars.     My Dad sold parts for years.   We rode the rollback as young kids.   Picked up many a wreck.    People would show up with tools in hand.    Pull their parts,  pay us,   and leave.    I crashed my 1970 Ford Mav. in the late 80's.    Smashed it all to Hell.    My Dad sold the motor and trans the next week.    Helped me with money to find another ride.    The good old days.    Now it's all online,   big warehouses full of parts,   and no more hands on.    Just call and it's delivered.    I miss the smell of an old car.    The grease.   The tools.    The yelling at times.   All that.

Toyota Supras are expensive. Like, really expensive. But if you’re willing to forego unnecessary luxuries like front body panels and a running engine, there are lots of cheap ones. With a bit of elbow grease, you can turn one of these shells into a fully running, tire-burning MKIV Supra.

The trucks in Johnny Van Zant's garage all have an emotional tie to loved ones who've passed. That includes two trucks that belonged to his brother Ronnie, the original singer for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Van Zant has sung in honor of him since 1987 in what may be considered the quintessential Southern rock band.

The vehicle had been reported missing to the owner’s insurance company on August 29, 2005. It was discovered underground, but it was only 250 feet from an open-air section of the canal.

When it comes to a devastating storm like Hurricane Dorian, the protection of vehicles is only a secondary concern to the protection of people, pets and property and the safety of first responders. If you're in the care of classic cars belonging to other people, though, you must do what you can to protect them. That's the situation DeLorean Motor Company of Florida finds itself in with as Orlando is already feeling the effects of the storm's outer bands.

I keep saying...In the mourning it's Hump Day!    It works for me.

So you order and end out with much more than needed.

Some of the new cars have a stop and go car start system.   They need a rather little battery to make this work.    Seems like a need for them is getting real.   I had to grab one from another dealer to cover the need.   The stock seemed like it was going to be days.   Yes you have it...

Stock order came in today...right after I got the other one and paid more for it.   O..well..It is what it is.

a blue and black engine: 003-electric-car-performance.jpg

Many street- and drag-race electric applications use an automatic transmission like a TH400 or Powerglide for gear multiplication to offer even more launch torque. According to McCue, when his high school class first built their car, the electric car people all told them they could just run the car with direct drive into the transmission without the converter. But in the high school “Shock & Awe” car, they discovered the car actually improved both its 60-foot times and overall e.t. by employing a torque converter.

Now the hotrod world is looking at the electric hotrods.    Hey if they go fast...They are cool.
