Finding a whole bunch of old gold in some  barn,   factory,   and or in the woods.    This dude found gold in an old factory basement.    I would have turned on the lights and fell to the ground saying THANK YOU GOD!

I find this report very.....OMG that needs to be fixed now!  Read it.    Looks like the back seat on most cars is a death trap.

Most times they don't have half the info I need to order a replacement one.   There is codes off the radio,   vins,   and much more.    Just telling me to do it...Well it doesn't mean much.

Poor dog is in a hot car right now in our shop.   Little guy is hot,   barking,   and just not having a great time.    He would be better off at home.

I kind of like a shifter.

I can drive a truck or car with this new rotor shift tech.    But I still want the feel of a shifter.   My old 2000 Jeep Cherokee has a auto floor shifter with a tee handle.   It just feels right.  

Okay bring in your own parts.

I am okay with anyone bringing in parts.   If you got a good deal.... so be it.    But bring all of them.    Get it looked at by a person who knows how to work on your car,   order parts,   and the such.    Not Rock Auto online!

Dude I work with...I helped him win some concert tickets.

I told him to call a local show I play every lunch and say he was with me.... he walked away with some real good tickets.    But he had to run and get them,   go last night,   and I still think he was very happy anyway.   

I noted tension between the new guys and the vets today.

Not like holds or anything.    But words...yes words.    The kind of stuff every shop has.    Old guys hate the young guys.

I love Summer....But dang the country is hot today.

Looks like it could be hot well into next week.

There’s an interesting discussion happening over at the Grassroots Motorsports forum right now, and presumably at many other places off-line. It’s about laws in Sacramento County stating, essentially, that almost any auto repair you do on your property is illegal. Of course, this is deeply troubling to almost everyone reading right now.


How can one county go so far off the walk way?     Making it illegal to work on your own car....in most cases.    Wow!

My Mom always took good care of me and I had to return it this week.    So not many days in work.    But I am back now and will be back on the ball.

Thin k about one thing (I did not once).    If you are in a small town,   tire store is not to be found,   and it's miles away to help....

Is it worth not getting new tires before the trip?   

I sat along the side of the road for hours.   Got towed into another town.    Kids crying,   wife mad,   and I should have fixed the problem well before going on a long trip to Maine.   It is not worth the horror it was.  

Did you just ask when you do the oil changes?
