It was kind of cool. Had lights in it. Was really clipping down the street. Very ultra modern. Looked like a Tron kind of day....

Many street- and drag-race electric applications use an automatic transmission like a TH400 or Powerglide for gear multiplication to offer even more launch torque. According to McCue, when his high school class first built their car, the electric car people all told them they could just run the car with direct drive into the transmission without the converter. But in the high school “Shock & Awe” car, they discovered the car actually improved both its 60-foot times and overall e.t. by employing a torque converter.
Now the hotrod world is looking at the electric hotrods. Hey if they go fast...They are cool.
